Nelson Sewage ponds
Duck header
Yesterday, my Dad and I went to the Nelson City sewage pond. Sounds like a lovely place to go, doesn't it?
Well, I liked it anyway. So much that I want to go back there as so as I can...
According to my field notebook the first birds I saw there were 60+ White-Fronted Fern (62 Whitefront for short in the notebook). Just as I got out of the car a pair of Variable Oystercatcher
flew past.
It was a great place for birds, I tried to do some sketching. I think my problem is that I forget to draw the base!
One of the terns had a longer beak, I don't know if it is a different species or just abnormal.
