The Short Track and Bright Stripe Track.

 This morning mum and I took Shadow for a walk along two of our tracks, The Short Track and Bright Stripe Track.
 I was trying to do photography so I did not take my field note book. There were few birds I was able to photograph, so I took pictures of the walk.
 Along the way I found an egg shell, which I think is a Blackbird's. There were also two Blackers around so that is likely.

 This Afternoon (before doing English) I stuck my head and camera out my bedroom window and waited for Spars. (House Sparrows) to come and feed. I then thought that they could probably see me (of course they could), so I put a blue and pink beach towel with two owls playing the ukulele and a crab dancing on my head and over my hands. Then it started to rain so I put a hat on the camera (but that didn't work) and finally gave up. As far as I know no birds have landed on my feeders this afternoon.
  I've seen an increase of robin activate around the house. There is now a singing robin around and I see him as well. Before there was almost no robin movement. I think he must have either conquered silent territory or entered the land of a female.
 More often than usual I am seeing rodents. In the evening, a few days ago, I saw a rat near where we feed the chooks*. Later I went outside (in the dark) to hear a Morepork and I saw a mouse running about under the stairs.
