Twitching at the Lake
I was just looking through the local newsletter,(DoC posts bird info in it) and I spotted the sighting of a Mandarin Duck. So we headed down to the the lake.
And there he was at the wharf; looking small and beautiful.The photos really aren't good enough.
A pair of black-billed gull sitting around, were the closest to his size.I think he's a bit lonely(Unlike the happy gull pair.)
Bird life seems to be quite good down there.But as I was Birding for a Bird (I may call it BFAB maybe?) I was not paying that much attention.I must get down there to see more of the ducklings!
