Home -- Birds and other things

South Island Robin
 I've not birded much  recently.

My pond habitat has improved. Where last year there was clay I have improved the soil and it now sustains mosses, flowers, flax, grass, various other things.
Last year the birds would not drink it, this year they even bathe in it. The Wekas now feed on the insects in the shallows.
The pondweed levels have decreased which is a sign of healthy amounts of shade.

Two Greenfinches
But here are some shots:
Bracken weka watching mum and I playing Badminton
Flowers at the pond. This is a great improvement on what last year was clay.

Dead Bush Giant Dragonfly, it really was huge!
