To the lake!

Today I went and birded at Lake Rotoroa. It is the nearest place to go from our house to see Kereru.

 I wanted to go there as it is the Great Kereru Count. If you want to learn more click here: www.kererucount.org.nz

 Lake Rotoroa has many birds including Swan, Mallard, Cormorant, New Zealand Scaup, Heron, Tui, Yellow-Crowned Parakeet, New Zealand Pigion, and many, many more.   

 The cygnets in the photo at the left where at the wharf. Two adult parents swam with them.
